Strictly Come Dancing's seventh contestant has been announced as Coronation Street's very own Katie McGlynn. The 28 year old, who plays Sinead Tinker on the popular soap opera, will be joining the likes of Rhys Stephenson and Tom Fletcher on the dance floor of the BBC show.The programme's Instagram account broke the news on Tuesday, 10 August, as they posted a stunning photo of her dressed in red.

In the caption, they wrote: "She's starred in Coronation Street, Waterloo Road and Hollyoaks. "Now Katie McGlynn is ready to bring the drama to the #Strictly dancefloor @katiexmcglynn," followed by a film emoji.
