Strict coronavirus rules will see school pupils sent home for deliberate coughs

Undesirable behaviours "may result in a fixed-term exclusion" if repeated, as schools prepare to re-open on Tuesday.Putting rule breakers together into detention could risk further spreading the virus and so it has been deemed safer to send them back home.The letter states "deliberate or malicious coughs/sneezes", "inappropriate comments" about Covid-19 and "purposeful physical contact" with others will be punished.It added "repeated failure" to follow the rules could see pupils "needing to be removed from lesson".Byron Academy in Acton, West London, meanwhile, has warned coughing.
