It comes after Record reported on a series of sickening attacks in schools within the region - including the vicious assault on a girl at Waid Academy in January, where she was dragged from her chair and booted in the face during a lesson.In February, we reported that a schoolboy was brutally beaten in a Glenrothes park in an incident that later saw five teens charged with attempted murder.

In early March we also told how another pupil was allegedly kicked unconscious outside Kirkcaldy High School as an adult woman stood by and 'cheered her attacker on'.One teacher, who wished to not be named amid fears they could lose their job, told the Record: "We're struggling to maintain academic standards and provide effective education in the face of violence.
