A man whose body was found in the garden of a Fife house has been named locally as village resident Henry White.The 57-year-old’s death is being treated as ‘suspicious’ by police after they were called to the scene in Erskine Wynd, Oakley, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.The alarm was raised at around 6.10am with officers locking down the street as specialist forensic officers were seen gathering evidence at the property.It is understood that a police helicopter was drafted to assist in the hunt for the suspect on Wednesday night.
A 35-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with an alleged assault. Henry, who lived in the village, has been described as "the most loveliest and harmless guy".
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.10am on 22 March, 2023, the body of a 57-year-old man was discovered at a property on Erskine Wynd in Oakley.“A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an assault and enquiries remain ongoing."
