A street has been sealed off in Ayr after chunks of a building fell off. The police taped off the pedestrianised lane (pictured above) leading on to the High Street to protect the public.
Bits of broken masonry landed on the ground across from Boots near the spot where the fruit seller stall operates. The debris, which fell from the building housing Slater Menswear (below) has now been lifted.
A tattoo business has also been based in the building in the past. Temporary fencing has now been erected around the unsafe area and the road is open again this afternoon.A South Ayrshire Council spokeswoman said: "Our Buildings Standard team investigated a report, that some marble cladding had fallen from a building in the lane between Mill Wynd
