Viking treasure worth £3million stolen by rogue metal detectorists could be returned after the jailed ringleader offered information to police.
George Powell, 39, unearthed the 1,100-year-old hoard with Layton Davies, 52, in a field in Eye, Herefordshire, in 2015. They were jailed after selling items on the black market and face more time if they do not hand back around 90% of the find still missing.
Powell and Davies were later jailed but they now face further time behind bars if they don't hand back around 90% of the find which remains missing.
