Steven Spielberg is opening up about his last minute decision to change Hook from a musical to just a fantasy, family film.
In a new interview, the 74-year-old director of the upcoming West Side Story, opened up about why he did it. Click inside to read more… While chatting with The Guardian, Steven revealed that Hook was intended to be a musical in the first place, however, he had the feeling that it wasn’t time for him to take that on in his filmmaking career. “I chickened out after the first week of shooting and took all the songs out,” Steven shared. “[...] It was the biggest paradigm shift I’ve ever had while directing a movie.” He added that “it just didn’t seem right for some strange reason.
