Spain drops further Covid restrictions for Brits heading on holidays

Spain is a major favourite among UK holidaymakers thanks to it’s sunny weather, sandy beaches and cheap all-inclusive. And, travelling to the Mediterranean country is set to get even easier for Brits as new Covid rules have come into play today.

READ MORE: Flight attendant explains why you have to put windows up on take off and landing Currently, all travellers over the age of 12 are required to submit proof of being vaccinated, having recovered from Covid or a negative antigen or PCR test.Now, sunny Spain has cut more restrictions pertaining to the virus for British tourists.

You won’t have to fill in a health check form or show a QR code at the border.The Spanish Ministry of Health posted on Facebook: “Remember.

From today, 20 September, it will no longer be necessary to complete the health check form to travel to Spain or present the QR code of SpTH (Spain Travel Health) at the airport on arrival." The Ministry of Health official website reads: "As of Tuesday 20 September 2022 , the Spain Travel Health (SpTH) portal, both the website and the mobile applications, will no longer be operational. "It will NO LONGER be necessary to fill in the health control form to travel to Spain NOR to present the SpTH QR code when boarding or at the arrival airport."However, just days ago it was announced that Spain would not drop all of its restrictions until mid-November this year.
