Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

Actor John Rhys-Davies swore live on Sky News as he dropped the s-bomb during an interview.Rhys-Davies, 76, who voiced Treebeard in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, was on the show to discuss Project Northmoor.The campaign aims to raise £4.5m to buy JRR Tolkien's former Oxford home where he wrote The Hobbit.When talking passionately about the author, Rhys-Davies swore.The actor said: "He is internationally renowned, his students love him."And damn it, even his fellow dons get on with him, and rather like him as well, which is about as rare as rocking horse s***."Host Stephen Dixon quickly said: "We must apologise for John's language there.""We'll have to be careful", he chuckled.John apologised as he exclaimed: "I'm sorry about that!"
