animal's carcass was discovered on Rhos-on-Sea beach in North Wales on Tuesday, June 16, and the skeleton has left a number of people scratching their heads as to what it could have been.
Whatever it was, it has now completely decomposed, with only its spine and skull still intact, NorthWalesLive reports.The photograph was taken by Ken Shaw who spotted the mysterious remains by the jetty of the seaside resort.Ken said that the skeleton measured around 18 inches in length and that his first impression was that it was some kind of dogfish.The post has since been shared multiple times, with guesses as to the species of the creature ranging from bass to a conger eel.Parts of its skeleton, such as the jaw, are missing, which makes identifying.
