Emergency services were called to Flora Street, on the outskirts of the town centre, at around 3am on Thursday, March 25, after reports a man had been stabbed.
The victim - a man in his 20s - was taken to Royal Oldham Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Six people, three men aged 26, 38, and 66, and three women, aged 24, 31, and 49, were arrested on suspicion of murder, and have now been released on bail.
