Sir Alex Ferguson was brought in to help persuade Jude Bellingham sign for Manchester United , according to reports. Bellingham, who has taken the Championship by storm with Birmingham City, is believed to have held talks with United on Monday.
His parents were spotted leaving Manchester United's Carrington training ground in a 4x4 on Monday, with the 16-year-old midfielder thought to have been back in the back of the car.
United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and transfer negotiator Matt Judge left around an hour later. Bellingham, who is Birmingham's youngest ever goalscorer, was thought to be close to joining Borussia Dortmund - although he has also been linked with interest from Chelsea , Bayern Munich and Real Madrid .
