Simon Cowell
Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.

ET spoke to the 60-year-old, as well as new judge Sofia Vergara and the show's host, Terry Crews, on Friday, where Cowell talked about riding «in golf carts, motorbikes» on the set.
They also talked about the show's significant changes due to the coronavirus pandemic. Cowell — who now will not be participating in this Tuesday and Wednesday's live telecasts as he recovers from surgery on Saturday — said he enjoyed the «thrill» of not knowing what to expect.«I thought it wasn't gonna happen,» he acknowledged to ET's Kevin Frazier about the popular NBC talent show returning.
