Now their story is being told in a new film starring Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield.Chastain plays Tammy, famed for her heavy eye make-up and spiky lashes, who liked to collect the spectacles of dead pals because she believed the eyes truly were the window to the soul.She said: “I think you can look in someone’s eyes and tell what their heart is.
So when my precious friends die I always ask if I could please have their glasses.”Born in Minnesota in 1942, to Pentecostal preachers, Tammy had a religious upbringing.
