Metrolink services at Cornbrook were temporarily halted this evening following a medical emergency which lead to delays on the network.
Shortly after 6pm this evening (October 29), Manchester's Bee Network posted on social media to say there were severe delays on a number of lines due to a ‘medical emergency’ at Cornbrook station.
It has been confirmed the incident took place on board a tram and the person involved has now been transported to hospital. Fans attending this evening’s United vs City match at Old Trafford stadium were faced with delays leaving the area following the game.
Metrolink said the incident was affecting all 'south side' stations on the network but said at around 6.45pm that trams were now moving again, although delays still remain in place.
