An investigation has been launched after a man 'behaving inappropriately' on a tram upset passengers. Greater Manchester Police today (November 7) released a photo of a man they want to speak to following the incident.

It comes after GMP received reports that a man had behaved inappropriately on a Metrolink tram near Queens Road, in Cheetham Hill, at around 6.30pm on Friday, September 29.

The incident caused upset to a number of female passengers. Enquiries are ongoing. Police believe the man in the photo may be able to help with their investigation. This sort of behaviour is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. "If you were present and have not yet spoken with police or can assist with details of the male in the picture, I would ask you to please contact us with any information you may have." Anyone with information that may help officers with their enquiries is asked to call GMP on 101 or 0161 856 6758, quoting CRI/06A1/0031569/23.
