possible existence of UFOs.Following a Freedom of Information Act request, the Presidential Library revealed it currently stocked "3,440 pages and 26,271 electronic files" possibly related to the existence of unidentified flying objects. The 14th Presidential Library received the Freedom of Information Act request from John Greenewald Jr., acting on behalf of The Black Vault. The Black Vault, a clearinghouse for declassified documents, releases archived files obtained through Freedom of Information requests as PDFs, with reports released dating back to as early as the 1980s.Their latest haul of classified documents was described as a "jackpot" by their Twitter account, which tweeted out a screenshot of their FOI response.Greenewald asked the Presidential Library for "documents and communications about the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program and photos and videos of Unidentified Flying Objects, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena/Phenomenon, and the Advanced Aerospace Weapons Systems Application Program."The totals, which were said to be "estimates" of "potentially responsive records" showed 29,711 unique files that could be in relation to UFOs.The library added though that it may take some time to sort through all of the documents.
