Scottish Government have confirmed. The latest figures reveal the death toll now stands at 3,503 since the beginning of the pandemic in March.Another 844 people have also tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of cases to 88,361.The latest numbers show that 1,170 people are being treated in hospital for the virus with 95 in intensive care.
It comes after the Sunday Mail revealed that elderly hospital patients infected with Covid-19 will still be sent into care homes despite assurances they would first need a negative test result.
