Pub-goers in Tier 2 areas are banned from lingering over their drinks once they have finished their food under new coronavirus lockdown rules.
Large swathes of England will be placed under Tier 2 restrictions from December 2, where pubs and bars can stay open to serve alcohol as long as drinkers order a substantial meal.
Downing Street made it clear that punters cannot stay on to drink once they have eaten their food.
