A teenager with no driving licence led police on a 12-mile-long high-speed chase along Scotland's busiest motorway in a stolen car before crashing into a ditch.
Craig Breslin, 19, swerved between lanes, overtook vehicles and drove on the wrong side of the road, before writing the car off when he smashed through a crash barrier.
And he now faces being locked up after admitting his guilt over the incident at Paisley Sheriff Court. Prosecutor David McDonald told the court the car was reported to police as being stolen from George Street, Paisley, in April 2019.
The following day officers in a marked police car were travelling behind it in Renfrew, near Glasgow, and decided to stop it "due to the manner of driving".
