Scots dog has leg amputated after horror attack by devil-dog in Livingston

Border Collie had its leg amputated after being attacked by a devil-dog in Livingston.   'Gentle giant' Max was out on a walk when an 'out of control' staffordshire bull terrier allegedly pounced on him.

The vicious animal slipped it's harness and set upon Max, leaving him with horror injuries. His owner watched in terror as the beast 'destroyed' the Max's leg, shattered his bones and left deep bite wounds, reports Edinburgh Live.

Max also had his torso bones broken in the horror attack.He was rushed to the vets, but had to have his leg amputated as his injuries were so severe.Max is now recovering from surgery but his owner was forced to stump up cash for expensive treatments.
