A Scots hairdresser has been left devastated after reckless fire raisers left her salon in ruins. M&D’s Hair Salon in Kilmarnock - which has been a part of the community for nearly two decades - was destroyed after a blaze next to the salon while it was closed due to coronavirus lockdown.

Heartbroken owner Sarah Fairweather, 44, told how the fire caused “devastation” but she is confident the business will remain strong thanks to the support of the community.Police have now launched an appeal for information after the fire on Monday evening on Tourhill Road.
