Scots are being urged to batten down the hatches as windy gales and rain are on the way.The Met Office has issued an update for the yellow weather warning across Scotland, set to sweep the country with a band of heavy rain from Wednesday morning (August 21).As much as 75-100 mm is expected through today and tomorrow (August 22) in some places, with Argyll and west Highland regions most affected by the spring tides.

The end time has also been brought forward from 3pm on Thursday afternoon to now end at 8am.People are warned to prepare from travel delays and the impacts of the storm.
The period of heavy rain and strong winds could lead to impacts from flooding, with "a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses."Regions and local authorities affected include, Perth, Stirling, the Highlands and those in the south west borders at Dumfries and Galloway.
