Three members of staff fell unwell at a Scots primary school the day before it was evacuated due to a suspected chemical leak.

Eleven people were taken to hospital after the incident at Crieff Primary School in Broich Road, Perth and Kinross, on Wednesday.

The premise was closed and will reopen on Monday, September 9 to allow a deep clean to be carried out as an additional precautionary measure.The BBC reports that three employees became unwell at the school the day before the incident took place.

An NHS Tayside spokeswoman said none of the patients taken to hospital, who were later discharged, had any "immediate medical concerns".Testing will continue to identify the cause of symptoms experienced by some adults in school.
