Scotland’s police watchdog launch major investigation after man falls five floors during cop operation

watchdog has launched a major investigation after a man was left fighting for life in Dundee. The 36-year-old fell five floors from a notorious multi in Lochee during a police operation at the building.

Officers attended 15-storey Ancrum Court to reports that a 33-year-old man had been assaulted at about 11pm on Saturday. During the subsequent police operation in the flats the second man fell from a high window.

He was rushed to Ninewells Hospital with serious injuries. His condition is not known.All three emergency services were called to the site on Saturday night and Police officers could be seen at the multi through the day on Sunday.Local residents speaking claimed the victim was ‘fleeing’ police at the time but this has not been.
