It’s an ambitious idea and yet, on past form, she has a good chance of pulling it off.When she co-founded what was then the Strathclyde Violence Reduction Unit in 2005, the World Health Organization had recently named Glasgow the ‘murder capital of Europe’.
The area had seen 82 homicides in the previous year, mostly from gang violence. Scotland had a higher violent death rate than the United States.
