A second wave of coronavirus infections could be more deadly than the first, with government scientists warning there could be 120,000 hospital deaths isn a "reasonable worst-case scenario".In a report from the Academy of Medical Sciences, commissioned by the Government’s chief scientificadviser  Sir Patrick Vallance, experts say action must be taken now to mitigate the potential for a second peak of Covid-19.The reports says hospitals could potentially see 120,000 Covid-19 deaths in between September and June next year, at the same time as battling a surge in demand due to usual winter pressures, including flu.A total of 37 scientists and academics have been involved in the report and it acknowledges there is a high degree of uncertainty.
