Russian police have cracked down on a social isolation breakout by bikers and their scantily-clad riders. Pictures of a "scandalous" ride marking the start of the summer season for biking enthusiasts and to raise the spirits during lockdown failed to impress law enforcement when it spread on social media.

Russians are not permitted to go out except for essential purposes and police are reportedly taking action against the bikers and their riders who were spotted wearing revealing underwear in Cheboksary, western Russia.

Even the driver of the car from which the images were taken may face action, according to police. "The identities of all the participants of the ride have been established," said a police source.
