Sam Allardyce and Jay-Jay Okocha will forever be associated with the glory years at Bolton Wanderers - and fans were delighted to see them back together again at a charity match on Sunday afternoon.
A Wanderers All Stars side managed by Big Sam and featuring the likes of Okocha, Kevin Davies and Ivan Campo, took on the current Trotters team at the University of Bolton Stadium.
The match was part of the fundraising effort for the treatment of Bolton star Gethin Jones' mother, Karen, who has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND).Under Allardyce, the north west outfit finished as high as 6th in the 2004/05 season, helping them reach Europe where they would earn creditable results against the likes of Besiktas and Sevilla.
