in Salford are self-isolating after a colleague contracted coronavirus. The employee, who works at the Bulls’ Head Hotel in Walkden, tested positive for the virus on Sunday (September 13).

The staff member and eight others who they may have had close contact with are now self-isolating for 10 days, a spokesman for the pub giant confirmed.

The branch has not closed as a result of the incident. A spokesman for Wetherspoons said: “We can confirm that one member of staff tested positive for Covid-19 at the Bull’s Head Hotel, Walkden on September 13.  “In accordance with public health guidelines, the employee has been required to self-isolate for the requisite ten-day period. “Wetherspoon has notified Public Health England of the positive.
