Salford gangland trial - Day Two: Eyewitness speaks of masked man with sawn-off shotgun

Salford in February 2015. On day two of the trial, the jury have been read statements from members of the public who witnessed the alleged attempted murder of Abdul Rahman Khan, Manchester Crown Court heard today.

Prosecutors earlier this week spoke of 'gangland warfare' that erupted in the city between the A Team and a rival faction, referred to in court as the Anti A Team.

They were told that there were plots to murder two men said to be associated with the A Team, which jurors were told was led by Stephen Britton.Today the jury were read statements from those living in the area who heard gunshots which 'sounded like fireworks' and saw 'men running wearing balaclavas'.One witness described seeing a man sat in the rear seat of a black BMW.
