A luxury tower block on the edge of the city centre will have to be part-demolished due to an 'engineering issue', a developer has said.Property Alliance Group is building three blocks of flats, one six storeys, one eight storeys and one ten storeys, on the banks of the River Irwell opposite Trinity Way.Although being marketed as 'Uptown Manchester', the development is in Salford and will deliver 156 apartments starting at £220,000.Residents first realised there was a problem with the site around a week ago when work came to a halt.Fencing has now gone up all around the concrete core of the 10-storey block and a large dust sheet is being held in place by a crane while demolition work is underway.Dramatic images show the top of the building.
