Ryanair has warned passengers that they could face ‘disruption’ to flights today, January 1, due to high winds. That airline said that affected passengers would be informed, and that all customers travelling today should check the status of their flight.
It comes as several Met Office weather warnings are in place across the UK. In a statement on its website, Ryanair said: “Potential disruptions to/from the UK, Wednesday January 1, due to high winds.
Affected passengers will be notified and any passengers travelling to/from the UK on Wed 01 Jan should check their Ryanair app for the latest updates on their flight. “We regret any inconvenience caused to passengers by these weather conditions, which are outside of Ryanair’s control and affect all airlines operating to/from the UK on Wednesday January 1.” The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for rain and wind across England and Wales.
A yellow warning for wind is in force until 3pm, covering the South, the Midlands and Wales, while a warning for rain is in place until 11am, covering most of Wales, the North West and central Yorkshire.
