The Met Office has warned of potentially more snow at the weekend, following a week of sub-zero temperatures across the country.
It comes as the UK has experienced an Arctic snap, with temperatures possibly reaching as low as -16C. There have been several severe weather alerts issued by the Met Office, which remain in place until Thursday evening (January 9).
Before the cold snap, the country suffered heavy rain over New Year's Eve, which led to flooding and a major incident being declared in Greater Manchester.
The rain and flooding followed by the snow and ice has led to major disruption across the UK. Schools have been closed, roads have been shut and airports have had to cancel and delay flights.
