The Met Office has warned of a "chilly" week ahead, and its weather map shows snow hitting parts of the country. After a freezing cold snap welcoming the UK into 2025, the weather has finally become a bit more mild with more settled conditions, albeit still cold.
Over the past few weeks during the arctic snap, the freezing conditions caused disruption across the country including road closures, schools being closed and airports closing runways and delaying flights.
Now, temperatures remain mainly above 0C in most of the country, but admittedly feels colder. According to the Met Office's weather map, snow is expected to hit parts of the country from Wednesday.
According to the Met Office weather map, snow is forecast to return to parts of Scotland on Wednesday, January 22, hitting the north of Scotland first, before moving down to near Glasgow and Dumfries.
