This Morning host Ruth Langsford admitted it had been tough for her this week as she could only visit her elderly mother in her care home through a window.
Coronavirus restrictions have meant many people have not been able to physically touch their loved ones who are in care. Ruth, 60, was only able to speak to her mother Joan via a walkie talkie and they were separated by a window.
Ruth said: "I have to say, I am in the same boat as many people, yesterday I was visiting my mum in her assisted living home. "I was sitting outside talking to her through the window with a walkie talkie." "This torture, this mental anguish goes on for so many families who just can't get there to an elderly relative," said Eamonn.
