Ruth Langsford has put to bed rumours of a spat with her This Morning successors. The Mirror exclusively revealed that Ruth and husband Eamonn Holmes were being replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary in their Friday slot, which they've held for 14 years.
ITV today confirmed the news, telling that Alison and Dermot would take over in the new year. And amid rumours of bad blood between the two presenting teams -which Ruth's always denied - she reached out to Alison and Dermot with her customary wisdom and grace.
Taking to Instagram, Ruth shared a snap of the new team and penned: "It's a changing of the guard on Fridays from January. "We hope you make Alison and Dermot as welcome as you've made us over the years.
