The former Hull and Salford forward almost succeeded, being left with a catastrophic list of broken bones after throwing himself off the roof of a three-storey car park at Ibiza airport.
The worst of his injuries were two broken legs, a smashed pelvis, five fractured vertebrae in his lower back and every bone in his face broken.
