The UK is preparing for "three to four day" hot spell – with temperatures set to "skyrocket" above 30C in the coming days.Even though there is cloud and rainfall predicted to sink southeast across Scotland, conditions are still likely to be pretty muggy and uncomfortable for some.
And it's not just humans that are impacted by the yellow weather warning – as our four-legged friends may also suffer in the heat.
Unlike humans, dogs can't sweat through their skin.They rely on panting and releasing heat through their nose and paw pads to regulate their body temperature.
So to cool them down, many keep them inside during peak sunshine hours during the daytime.Some owners have also admitted to feeding their pets ice cubes – but not everybody is convinced by this idea.
