House prices rise in Scotland as one area sees 25 per cent surge - see full list

The latest data on house prices across Scotland has been shared by the UK Government.On Wednesday, the government posted the UK House Price Index Scotland for June 2024.

The monthly update reveals property prices across each of the country's local authorities over the past year.According to the new report, the average cost of a home in Scotland in June was £192,000.

This is a 4.3 per cent annual rise from June 2023, and higher than the UK-wide increase of 2.7 per cent in the 12 months to June.The UK House Price Index Scotland also reveals the areas of the country that saw the biggest increases and decreases in home prices from the previous year.

The report states that the Shetland Islands saw the largest rise compared to June 2023, surging 25 per cent from £176,794 to £220,959.However, according to the report, the major increase may be due to the relatively small number of properties sold in Shetland.
