Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman insists his decision not to use Ousmane Dembele in Thursday’s 3-0 win away at Celta Vigo had nothing to do with reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.
It is believed Dembele, 23, has been identified by United as a cheaper alternative to top transfer target Jadon Sancho. Borussia Dortmund are refusing to budge on their £108million asking price for Sancho, turning down a £91million offer from the Red Devils earlier this week.
As a result, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co have seemingly turned their attention to a potential loan deal for Dembele before Monday’s transfer deadline.
