Robbie Williams has revealed that he was threatened with decapitation by bandits during a charity expedition in Haiti. The singer, 46, was lending a hand with Unicef in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake when he and wife Ayda Field found themselves in the terrifying situation.
He said: “I got threatened to be beheaded in Haiti. We were going out there to help. “I was like: ‘Should we go to the next street then?’ and looking back, it was scary.” Robbie’s wife Ayda, 41, with whom he has four children, added on the couple’s Postcards from the Edge podcast, out today: “I was with you, I too was being threatened to be beheaded as well.” Robbie and Ayda spent four days in Haiti in April 2010, recording a video for that year’s Soccer Aid
