Review: Former Corrie star and Loose Women legend dazzle in all-star Chicago musical at Palace Theatre

Give 'em the old Razzle Dazzle... so goes one of the big show tunes in long-running musical hit Chicago. And here, back on tour again at Manchester's Palace Theatre this week, an all-star cast do exactly that with fizzing, punchy aplomb - jazz hands most definitely at the ready.

The popular Kander and Ebb musical has regularly returned to Manchester over the years, and I'd have to admit it doesn't often tempt me back to see it.

But on this occasion, the prospect of seeing Brenda Edwards star as Mama Morton was enough to inspire me to return some 15 years or so since I've last seen Chicago on stage.

I think I'd forgotten quite what a hit-packed show this one is - blasting out the big numbers from the opening strains of All That Jazz, right through to the spectacular vaudeville finale.
