Loose Women panellist Kéllé Bryan is not only a popstar, actress and the proud occupier of a spot one of daytime's most high-profile TV shows, she's also an ordained minister. The 49 year old, who found fame as one-fourth of the girl band Eternal, has very strong faith, and in an exclusive chat with OK!, she says she's thrilled to bring more diversity and opinions to the Loose Women panel because of it.
The mum of two, who was born in London but relocated to Liverpool with her young family when she joined the cast of Hollyoaks in 2018, says she doesn't suddenly become a different person when she's in church - or on set - it's simply a case of changing her language slightly. "It actually came up the other day on Loose Women, and I always say, “This is me.
Whether I’m on the pulpit or the panel, I’m the same person”. I don’t change who I am," she says. "My language might change slightly because I’m in a different environment but no different to someone who changes their accent to suit their environment." While Kéllé, who has recently teamed up with clothing brand JDWilliams for their Midlife Redefined initative, says her faith is very important to he and she has a prayer partner who she prays with on a daily basis, she is not "preachy". "I’m not a preachy person" she laughs, "so if you’re entertaining yourself in something you maybe shouldn’t be, that’s for you to work out, but if you’d like my opinion, I’ll share it with you." Kéllé says she's proud to bring more diversity to the Loose Women show, and made history in 2020 as one of four members of an all-Black female panel.
