Loose Women star joining Emmerdale for Tom King storyline in unexpected twist

Loose Women star Denise Welch’s character in an upcoming episode of Emmerdale has been revealed.The actress, who with her new role can now claim she has appeared in all four of the UK’s biggest soaps, is to star as a member of jury as Tom King finally faces trial, and hopefully gets his comeuppance, for abusing his wife Belle.

Denise has previously appeared as Natalie Barnes in Coronation Street, Alison Slater in EastEnders and Trish Minniver in Hollyoaks.

Denise, 66, is set to appear in Emmerdale on Monday 16 December as a juror deciding Tom’s fate, but before that the trial is thrown into chaos when Tom tries to take his own life in prison.

His actions have repercussions for Belle, who questions whether she should testify against him, and it looks like the case against Tom could fall apart if she decides not to appear in court.
