Emergency services were called to Flora Street, on the outskirts of the town centre, at 3am this morning, (Thursday) following reports a man had been stabbed.
The victim - a man in his 20s - was taken to Royal Oldham Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. One resident, who lives in an adjacent block of flats said: "There were loads of police here last night, the whole car park down here was full of them - it woke me up."
