La Liga superpowers Barcelona and Real Madrid have reached a shock agreement to not target each other's stars who are under contract.
Luis Figo famously left the Nou Camp for a starring role as a Galactico in 2000 after the heated rivals agreed a stunning £37m deal. The likes of Luis Enrique, Ronaldo and Samuel Eto'o are other famous names who have crossed the divide. But the pig heads can stay in cold storage, for now, as old sparring partners Florentino Lopez and Joan Laporta have come to a signing truce.
That means no players with time left on their deals will be targeted by the other and it comes in the wake of Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo being linked with Madrid.
The agreement is null and void when it comes to free agents, according to Marca, who insist two of the biggest sides will also still go head to head for the world's best players.
