A rare Scots whisky is expected to fetch up to £85,000 at auction when it goes under the hammer later this week. The bottle of Macallan Lalique 55-year-old is numbered 412 out of a limited edition of 420 and comes in a special presentation case accompanied by a crystal stopper.
Auctioneers Bonhams expects the classy dram to fetch between £65,000-85,000 when it is offered as part of their whisky sale in Edinburgh on Tuesday.
The Lalique collection was released in 2007 as the second in Macallan's Lalique Six Pillars collection - a half-dozen-strong assembly of ultra-rare whiskies ranging from 50 up to 62 years old.
