Barcelona boss Quique Setien has responded to Lionel Messi’s claim that he “misunderstood” the club’s chances in the Champions League.
Barca have endured a mixed season which led to the dismissal of Ernesto Valverde with Setien replacing him. The new manager previously said he believes Barcelona have what it takes to win the Champions League for the first time since 2015.
However Messi wasn’t so sure with the club’s last-16 tie with Napoli hanging in the balance after a first-leg draw in Italy.
Messi had said: "I never doubted the squad we have and I have no doubt that we can win all that remains, but not by playing in the way we were playing. "Now, everyone has their opinion and they are all very respectable.
