Queen and Prince Philip reportedly feared that their grandson Prince William would "go off the rails" after the death of his mother Princess Diana, according to a close royal source.The new documentary featured Martin Palmer, a close friend of Philip, claiming the royal couple were worried that the young prince would not be able to handle the loss of his mother.Martin said that it was of particular concern to the Firm because William would one day have to lead the Royal Family as King.The ITV programme, 'Philip: Prince, Husband, Father', was made in honour of the Duke of Edinburgh, who died at the age of 99 earlier this year.In the show, rare archive footage showed Prince Philip secretly comforting his grandson Prince William as he walked.
